The Herbalist is the second character in the exceptional Witchcraft series created by Germania Mint. The 2025 Witchcraft: Herbalist Ritual 1-ounce Silver BU coin continues the fascinating story of women from Germanic mythology – endowed with wisdom, magical power, and a deep bond with nature.
The Herbalist was the guardian of the ancient secrets of nature. She could recognize the healing properties of herbs and plants, creating potions and infusions with great restorative and protective power. Her knowledge and intuition made her a symbol of harmony between humans and the natural world.
During her rituals and healing practices, the Herbalist wielded a wooden staff – a sign of her connection with the forces of the earth and her spiritual guidance. Her robes are adorned with intricately crafted jewelry, enhancing the power of her spells and providing protection from evil. She is accompanied by the mythical squirrel Ratatosk, the messenger of the sacred tree Yggdrasil, who carries messages between worlds and supports the heroine in her communion with the magical forces of nature.
The reverse of the coin, rendered in Germania Mint’s distinctive artistic style, reveals the abundance of natural motifs from which the Herbalist draws her strength. At its center appears the two-headed eagle – the symbol of the mint and guardian of tradition – surrounded by runes representing health, protection, and harmony.
Designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, the coin is ennobled with gold and has an antique finish. It will be issued in a limited mintage of 1,000 pieces. Each coin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its originality and is packaged in a specially designed blisterpack.
