Their names are inextricably linked to the famous Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876 – one of the most well-known conflicts between the Native Americans of North America and the U.S. Army.

While Custer was considered an ambitious military leader, Sitting Bull became a symbol of resistance, freedom, and the fight to preserve one’s own culture and way of life.
